Event description

The digital world offers enormous possibilities. At the same time, however, it brings risks that we need to know how to address.

This year’s CO-Hackathon will focus on cybersecurity, prevention, and staying safe online. Over the course of three days, teams will tackle a real-world challenge, working alongside industry experts.

So what exactly will you be tackling?

You’ll find out at the start of the hackathon. The specific challenge will remain a surprise until the very last moment.

What can you expect?

A hackathon isn’t a traditional competition for the “right” answer. You’ll be given a problem that you’ll need to understand, break down, and solve on your own.

Over the weekend, you’ll:

• work in a team on a specific challenge,
• discuss your ideas with mentors and experts,
• search for information and verify whether your solution makes sense,
• develop your concept and gradually refine it,
• prepare a final presentation for a panel of experts.

It’s not just about technical skills. Creativity, analytical thinking, the ability to work in a team, communicate, and look at a problem from different angles will also come in handy.

This year’s theme: cybersecurity

The online environment is changing faster than ever before. New technologies bring new possibilities, but also new forms of fraud, manipulation, and other risks.

That’s why this year we’ll be looking at cybersecurity primarily from the perspective of prevention and real-life situations that people encounter in the digital world.
