“One CPU, One Vote” in practice: Solo mining, Stratum Proxy, and DIY mining

firsthand.

Solo mining is not a thing of the past—it is a return to Satoshi’s original vision.

We will look at the history of solo mining, its importance for the network and community,

and why it makes sense again today. We will go through projects such as NerdMiner,

Bitaxe, and NerdAxe and show you how to run them and increase their

efficiency with your own Stratum Proxy. In this lecture, we will explain why it makes

sense to use a proxy, how it reduces losses in hashrate and shares, and

we will show you how to run Braiins Stratum Proxy on, for example, a

Raspberry Pi 5 in Docker.
