PrintHack is returning to TechTower! Put together a team, get creative, use 3D modeling and electronics, and show us that your idea is the best!

Do you love 3D printing, modeling, and electronics? Then put together a team and come show us what you’ve got! PrintHack is returning to TechTower, bringing with it a healthy dose of creativity, technology, and teamwork.

During this two-day hackathon, you’ll face a challenge where you and your team will brainstorm and design your own solution to a given topic. You’ll model, experiment with ideas, and look for ways to bring your design to life. A little bit of electronics might come in handy, too!

And what will you be designing? We’re not going to reveal that just yet! All teams will learn the specific challenge on-site, so everyone will start on an equal footing.

How will it work?

Put together a three-person team and get ready for a real challenge! At the start of the hackathon, you’ll learn the assignment and the technical requirements your design must meet.

Your task will be to create a 3D model and figure out how it could actually be manufactured. It’s not just the idea itself that matters, but also its feasibility, the manufacturing process, and the budget for the necessary materials.
