Event description

Discover the world of FDM 3D printing.

On Wednesday, November 25, and Thursday, November 26, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a two-day workshop will take place in our Workshop.

This is the most accessible and widespread method of additive manufacturing, which allows you to create real objects layer by layer from plastic filament.

During the workshop, you will learn how this technology works, what it can do, what materials are used, and what its advantages and limitations are in everyday practice.

During the two-day workshop, we will take a detailed look at FDM 3D printing technology from the very basics. You will learn:

  • how an FDM printer works and how to operate it correctly,
  • how to perform basic maintenance,
  • how to work with different settings and printing methods – from simple to more advanced.

In the second part, we will get into the Christmas spirit and each participant will try to create their own cookie cutter. They will then print it and take it home – as a practical and original result of working with 3D printing.

The workshop is ideal for complete beginners and intermediate users who want to learn how to work with 3D printing in practice and take away specific skills and their own product.

It will involve simple 3D modeling and basic operations, so no previous experience is necessary—just bring your own laptop with 3D modeling software installed (it doesn’t have to be Fusion 360; any of the available free tools will suffice).
