First Mobile Linux Hackday in Pilsen

We invite you to the first community gathering dedicated to Linux on mobile devices. The event is open to anyone interested—from the curious to experienced developers.

In the morning, David Heidelberg and Petr Hodina will give talks on the current state of mobile Linux: why you’d even want a penguin in your pocket, which phones are well-supported today, and what that support entails. After lunch, we’ll focus on specific technical topics—the u-boot bootloader on phones, the camera stack with a focus on autofocus, and touchscreen support on Google Pixel devices.

You’ll have the chance to try out systems running Phosh or KDE on OnePlus 6, Xiaomi Poco F1, and Fairphone 5 devices. Bring your own phone—we’d love to discuss how to port Linux to it and what the current level of support is.

For those interested, a short tour of TechTower (approx. 30 minutes) is also planned for the afternoon.
