Schrödingerova čočka: Creativity and Ideation Through the Lens of Cognitive Science
Some people are creative. Others aren’t. Heard that before? Think again. Creativity is something we all have within us.
Where do ideas actually come from? What happens inside our minds when inspiration strikes? And can we learn to become more creative? Cognitive science reveals fascinating connections between human thinking, imagination and the creative process itself.
Joining us at TechTower is Michal “Mike” Jelínek, MA, ArtD., a designer, artist, author and researcher who has spent decades exploring creativity both in theory and in practice. Throughout his career spanning more than 30 years, he has worked with brands including Mercedes, Volvo, Nike and Škoda Auto, and contributed to projects such as Terminator: Dark Fate and Love, Death & Robots.
Today, as an educator and researcher, he explores how ideas take shape, what fuels our imagination and how technologies like virtual reality and artificial intelligence influence the way we create. His insights are also featured in his book Heuréka!, based on his doctoral research into the creative process.
What can you expect? A fresh perspective on creativity, surprising insights into how the human mind works, and inspiration to unlock your own creative potential.
The lecture is part of Schrödinger’s Lens, a series bringing together science, art and inspiring minds in an intimate setting. No passive screen time – just fresh ideas, face-to-face encounters and meaningful conversations.
